Terms of use

These terms apply to shade.ly, the interactive demo, the presentations we share with you, and the accounts we give our team and partners ("the service"), operated by Chasing Shade. By using the service you accept them. Use of the Chasing Shade API is also governed by the partner agreement you sign with us; if the two differ, the partner agreement applies.
Accounts
Accounts are personal and by invitation. Keep your sign-in details and API keys confidential and tell us at legal@shade.ly if you think they have been misused.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to access it without permission, to disrupt it, to scrape or copy it in bulk, to reverse engineer it, or to use it unlawfully. Do not send personal information to the partner API.
Confidential presentations
Presentations we share by link are confidential. Share them only as the presentation allows, and only for evaluating a business relationship with us.
Connected accounts
If you connect a Google or Microsoft account, the provider's own terms also apply, and you can disconnect it at any time. Our privacy notice explains what the connection is used for.
Our content
The service, its comfort scores, software and materials belong to Chasing Shade or its licensors. These terms give you no rights to them beyond using the service as intended.
Information, not guarantees
Comfort, shade, temperature and UV information is an estimate based on models and weather data. It is provided "as is", without warranties, and should not be the only basis for decisions about health or safety. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
Suspension and changes
We may suspend access that breaks these terms. We may change the service or these terms; the new effective date will be shown here.
